Russia-EU: the challenges of interdependence and the setting of a new agenda

During the upcoming conference in Jūrmala, we would like to discuss in detail the following issues:

  • Perspectives of granting security on the European continent in the context of the forced balancing on the brink of the Cold War 2.0 and objectives of peaceful settlement for hot and frozen regional conflicts.
  • The economic component of cooperation between Russia and Europe with the analysis of the actual state of affairs and the complementarity of the EU and Russian economies and assessment of the performance and effectiveness of the policies of sanctions and counter-sanctions.
  • Evaluation of the whole range of external influence factors on the level of Russian-European relations: from the tendency to strengthen the transatlantic partnership under the US leadership to the “turn to the East” of the Russian foreign policy toward China.
